Umax which was once a great company seems to be getting worse and
worse.(They aren't the only ones Epson really sucks for not making
drivers for OSX and many of their printers) Having said that I have
found that some companies no longer have free downloads on the web
perhaps because they have found that their software is being used to
run other brands of hardware. In this case an Email to the company
providing a serial number may get them to provide you with the web
address for free downloads. It worked for me with XLR8 and another
company. It's worth a try. I just don't see any company expecting
people to pay for software that you have to have to run hardware if
you already own it. At least the basic version of the software. I
even once got Apple to supply me with an OS CD for a Performa 638
that I bought used. I just told them it didn't come with a cd and
didn't mention I'd bought it used. Best of luck. Will S
