The saga continues. I got an IX Micro Ultimate Rez video card today for the s900.
It works. No more black screen. I can now watch when it dies. I'm now getting the broken folder image. I tried control-command-power to restart, and of course got the same thing. I tried Ryan's advanced troubleshooting suggestion of setting the input and output devices and verbose messages on startup. I did NOT get a "FailToBoot". Instead it stopped at various points - some times it just stopped, other times it asked if I wanted to continue or reboot. Sometimes 'continue' gave me more lines, sometimes it didn't. If it didn't, I tried reboot, which usually didn't. If anyone wants to try to decipher the lines of code, I'll be happy to send them to you. I already sent them off to Ryan, but I'm open to suggestions from the list as to any other things to try.
