Why am I getting the sound of a galloping horse (or a speeding train if you
prefer) and very, very slow image load or screen refresh, each time an image
is opened?

This seems to have happened since installing 9.1 and seems to be
system-wide, not related to any specific software.

It happens with the Appearance CP, with all Adobe programs, and with Graphic
Converter. Also with email attachments in Outlook Express. Could it be the
result of deactivating the QuickTime JPEG Update extension, in order to run
OpColourLight?

If so ... or not ... how can I shoot the horse (derail the train) and get my
images to load as fast and silently as they used to?

Adrian
