As a followup to my own post, I just noticed that the drivers are only for the 900 series (which is flatbed- I prefer the sheetfeeder models, as I often have multipage documents to scan at low resolution, but like also having the printer and fax all in one). Second the comments on versiontracker.com about the drivers are not too positive.
