Tom,
Once you get inside the machine, just look around. The battery is
pretty easy to spot, once you know what it looks like. If you don't
have your owner's manual, or have not yet figured out how to open the
case, speak up! These two links might be helpful.

Speaking up here Nancy::
I had allready been inside the computer and tried to remove the battery.
I was wanting to know if the battery was >>soldered<< onto the board because
when I tried to remove it, it would not come off the board. I was afraid I
was going to damage the board, so that's when I asked this list for some help.
I checked the websites you suggested and they didn't have pictures on the
C600, but did say what type to use. The C500 picture showed a >> Rayovac
841-4.5 volt alkaline wire harness battery with a berg-type 4-pin connector <<
, which is the same as the C600 uses. They didn't explain how to replace it.
My question this time is- Is the battery >> Velcroed << onto the board and
can I gently pry it off without damaging the board? This may sound like a
stupid question, but hey--I don't know the answer.
Thanks again-tom
