Hey Will,
Well, for one thing, its a Mac100 Zip disk, always has been since new and never has been near a pc yet alone been formatted as such. Also, "Map Pc extensions to the Mac OS file types on the PC disks " is/was checked in the Control Panels. As for the drivers, I don't know. I formatted 'everything' from the s900 'only' using a newer Iomegaware app. Using the Drive Info from HDTK and other utilities, it does show it is using the same driver version as my SCSI Zip does. Also passed Norton with flying colors. I was able to create the zip disk as a Mac OS Rescue Disk, but my first try using it wouldn't boot. > I'm wondering if the ATA/IDE Zip drive may format disks as PC even if > you check the Mac format box? Will S That's kinda what it seems like its doing but everything says its Mac. I'd like to get it working as a normal mac zip if possible. If it's in need of Apple Roms, is there anything (feasible) that I can do? Do you think there might be some kind of firmware update for the zip drive itself? Turns out there is an even newer Iomegaware out then I have, so I'm going to see what happens with that after I download it. Thanks, Dave -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
