The J38 jumper position is present on all of the S900/J700
motherboards. However, the pins for the J38 position are only
installed on a very few machines. So, on a few machines there is a
pair of pins sticking up on which it is a simple matter to install a
.1" pitch jumper (the larger of the two common jumper sizes). On
other machines, there are simply two solder filled holes where the
jumper pins would go.

On the latter machines, using the J38 position requires either
soldering in a wire or other conductor across the two holes, or
installing one's own pins in the wholes so that a jumper may be used.

The machines without the pins still have a silk screened J38 label
and a tiny white rectangle drawn around the two pins. Don't be
confused by the nearby position for the Delay Line (labeled DL)
though. The Delay Line position is closer to the CPU socket.
