I observed a few "bubba" moments during a DSL installation at a friend's
studio with G4s.
On the flip side, my brother at another city had the easiest time getting
his up and running on a G4.
His is through a phone company.
In our university town, with a higher percentage of Mac users, DSL is
available through a small outfit that specializes in it. Verzon has been
dragging their butt on this for some reason - our house is maybe 300 yards
from their building downtown.

Many folks seem to be going for the cable modems, but as the number
increases I am more reluctant to subscribe.
Adelphia, the monopolist in our area, is the cable provider.
Close to $100/month for cable TV and internet cable is obsurd.
