We've got DSL. It has been everything we've wanted it to be. As Robyn suggested a router is almost mandatory if you're going this route, especially if you have more than one computer. With a DSL router the internet is seamlessly integrated and shared over a network. There's no "going online" : it's always on. Going with cable was more money here, where Time Warner offers RoadRunner...
