Welcome back to the list. There is no such thing as an internal 56k 
modem for any Mac or clone in the USA.(ok Apple/Global Village did 
make one for the B&W machine) The one you have is the fastest 
internal made. So you will need to buy an external serial modem. 
Global Village and Zoom brands come to mind. US Robotics/3 Comm are 
also good but no longer being made as far as I know. If you have an 
USB card you can also buy USB modems but some have said serial are
