What have you done in the general maintenance department? Can you 
start it from a system disc with the C key down at start up? Can you 
start with the extensions turned off by holding down the shift key at 
boot? Can you try a restart and zap the pram; if you don't get a 
chime, maybe the screen will flash when you zap the pram (p.r.alt, 
Apple key). Can you boot from Disk Warrior, Nortons or TechTool Pro?
