I apologize if this is OT, seems more of an Apple Arcana subject. But there has been a lot of disscussion about boot discs
So far, <CMD><OPT><SHFT><DEL><NUM> is inconclusive ( sort of). I need to add more scsi drives to the internal bus in the S900 to be sure. But that will have to wait till sundown and cool air. With scsi line up as: Main boot drive, OS9.1 = ID# 0 Back up drive, OS 9.1 = ID#2 CD Drive = ID# 3 With start up disk set to ID#0, and with no disk in the CD rom, then <CMD><OPT><SHFT><DEL><2> does cause a boot from ID#2. With TTP3 CD in the CD Drive ID#3 , then <CMD><OPT><SHFT><DEL> and <CMD><OPT><SHFT><DEL><any number> will cause a boot from the CD. The CD had been in the computer for prior restarts so drivers had been loaded. Not a cold boot. If that matters. Note: the cross handed modified vulcan death grip was painlessly successful.
