Hi List,
I run a small nonprofit organization in Minnesota that trains dogs for people with
disabilities.

We have two c 500 and one c 600, all with a Sonnet G3 accelerators, on a ethernet
network with a
G3, a G4 an older Imac and a Brother laser printer. We, were running system 9.0.4.

We added the Imac most recently and it was running 8.6. We soon began having a variety
of problems
with lockups and crashes, with little rhym or reason evident, and we decided to
upgrade to system
9.2.1 to get current and get them all running the same stuff. I was able to upgrade
the other
computers but got stuck on the c500 and c600 units.

What is the highest system that I can install, and how do I do it, if it is 9.2?

Is there a better system choice, for stability, on the UMAX units?

What is the proper arrangement for CD-rom extensions at system 9.0.4? I still have CD
problems
reminiscent of 7.6 with the c-500 and c-600. I currently have an Apple CD/DVD driver
and CD-Rom
Extension V!.1Oe, both turned on, and it seems I need both to access a CD.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated. I am thinking of initializing the drives
and starting
all over again and want to get off on the right foot.

Thanks in advance for nay help.

Al
