Hi,
Why not use an 80 to 50 pin converter - I think OWC do a reasonably
priced converter as they offer readily converted sca to scsi 2 drives.
While I am addressing the list I wonder if any one can advise me as
to whether there are difficulties associated with installing a raid
system in a S900 (Pulsar). I have been offered quite a few new 9 and 4.5
gig sca Seagate Cheetah 80 pin 10000rpm drives and 9 and 4.5 IBM
Ultrastar (and similar spec Fujitsu) for a song. Though I primarily wish
to use these for a server and an SGI O2 (if I can get one - any offers?)
they would nicely fill out my Pulsar for a cheap speed/storage boost. But
what would the best setup be - a boot drive and a three drive raid? Or
can you boot from a raid? I suspect not...but it would be a hasty boot.

     Pete in the UK
