The biggest problem I've seen on this list regarding installation of brand
new Systems, is the loss of CD drive function. The new System will install a
corresponding Apple CDROM driver which won't drive the Matsushita drive UMAX
used. With that in mind, and with backing up your stuff also in mind... go
for it.

Oh, I almost forgot, if you can't boot from the OS 9.1 CD, you may have to
boot from an external HD, or Zip etc. to do a clean install onto your
internal boot drive.
