You might also replace the PRAM battery while you are at it.  They are fairly
cheap and a dead PRAM battery can cause many boot problems. (I assume a UMAX
uses the same Radio Shack part # 23-026 3.6v Lithium PRAM battery, @ $9.95, as
its sister Macs? )
