The paper munchies was a common problem for the PLW NTR printers. It is 
well documented on the fixyourownprinter site. The repair kit is only 
around $30. Basically, the pickup rollers wear out and you need to 
replace them. Not to tough with the right instructions. (Now if you 
could only get the paper tray back:)

That LaserWriter Select sounds like a pretty good deal. Nothing like 
getting a good piece of equipment cheap. We have a University here that 
gives their surplus to a recycler, you get great stuff cheap! I got the 
LW NTR for free from a friend who ran the place, before he was there I 
got my Umax S900 for $300 with a G3 upgrade already in place! My 
webserver is a Quadra 700 500HD/32RAM that I paid $5 for. It even came 
with a Video Spigot card.
