Thank you for your comments, however, I wasn't trying to list the specific order I did things, just list what I did. The case, in fact, is that I DID put the card in first, then the extension. 1.4.6 simply did not see the Belkin USB card and 1.4.1 did. It is no more complicated than that. While I suppose it is possible, I don't believe order(card then software) matters for "dumb" cards like USB/PCIs makes. After restart (or cuda, pram etc.) the card should be recognized. That's what happend in this case. > 9.1 does not need the USB software anymore, 9.1 updater comes with the USB Support 1.4.6 extension built in. I will defer you to the Apple klnowlege base. Alternately, search "USB Support 1.4.6" on Google. Search without, then again with, the quote marks. Select some links that list "what's new in 9.1". >just put the card in and run the 9.1 updater again, it will recognize the card. Lastly, this was for my father's machine, which I noted is on 9.0. He has no need to go to 9.1 yet. Dave Stephens __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
