Jamie, It appears that the CD you have will only work with the G4 (from work). This is not uncommon.
The c600 does work fine with everything up through OS 9.1 We have OS 9.1 installed on our c600, and it runs fine. As far as I know, there really is no "work around" to installing 9 from the CD you have. You just need to find one of the commercial copies of OS 9, or better yet OS 9.1 You might find one still available in a retail establishment, or from any of the many web-based retailers.
