Help!? Just got my new G4... with a SuperDrive... and now, the dilemma: What media to use! I anticipate a lot of photo restoration and cataloguing, with some video archiving as well. Having learned my "hard lesson" on backing up, I'd like to explore CD or DVD as a medium for that, too.... If anyone would be so inclined (and so kind) to respond directly (off list) I would appreciate help with the following queries (or maybe direction to a source for thorough discussions of this topic???): #1) Can I use DVD-RW media (for back-up?) with the SuperDrive, and - if so - what are your specific brand recommendations? #2) What media would I use to enable display on my Sony DVD player (Apple says it's compatible with the SuperDrive...)? #3) Is it true that the SuperDrive is incredibly slow at CD-RW burning? What media would you recommend to archive and back up with? Should I perhaps pick up an additional burner...like, LaCie's 48/12/48 external?? #4) Which write faster - USB, FireWire, SCSI???? #5) Any recommendations for hardware/software to enable analog video from my Sony video cam to upload to the G4 for digitization? Thanks, again, for all you help! Steve Phillips Two Harbors, Minnesota
