internet--news groups.

Though I don't know why you'd trust a news group exchange when you 
don't trust auctions.  Still, I've done hundreds of exchanges through 
news groups  and most of those were cross shipping.  Buyer and seller 
ship item and payment simultaneously.  No COD or other mucking about. 
Most folks truly are honest.   I had problems  maybe three times and 
two of those I managed to resolve by assertive repetitive emailing. 
The third, I was just stupid, though that doesn't excuse the SOB.
