You really have nothing to fear on eBay.   I've bought over a thousand 
dollars worth of stuff there - my S900 (brand new), hard drives, Sonnet 
G4/450 card, stereo equipment, etc., and have never had a bad experience.   
Just bid the maximum amount you are willing to pay.   If you get outbid, so 
be it.   If not, it's yours.

Most of the stuff I've bought on eBay I used the Buy It Now option.   This 
is where the seller just lists a fixed price that he wants to sell the item 
for.   If you're the first one to agree to the price, it's yours.

There's an S900 on eBay right now for $100 Buy It Now.   It's 200 mhz 604e, 
128 meg ram, 2 gig hard drive, CD and floppy.  I would buy this in a second 
if I was looking for a 2nd machine.
