Well, I dont know whats wrong with your ATA stuff. I bought a Acard ATA 66
card (same as the Sonnet Tempo 66) 2 years ago, and it was a really good
idea. I use a Maxtor drive, which was known for good Mac compatibility when
I bought it, and a LiteOn burner. Never had any problems with this setup.
Maybe your problem is the hard drive, dont know about WD, but I know that a
Mac user should not buy Fujitsu drives. Do you use the latest firmware for
the card?
BTW, I have two broken SCSI drives, one original Apple (Quantum), one IBM.
