I'd recommend putting in a burner. I installed a Yamaha 8x8x24x internal
SCSI drive into the second bay of my S900 (leaving the original drive in
place) and have been happily burning ever since. You'll want to make
sure that the drive is Mac-friendly, but other than that, I have used
CD-ROM Toolkit or CD/DVD SpeedTools as the driver and everything works
well.
