Following is from OWC Larry's weekly e-mail newsletter dated Friday, August
30:

'At MacWorld, Sonnet released their new G4/800MHz Upgrade card for the
PowerMac 73/75/76/85/86/95/9600s and compatible clones. This is the FIRST G4
upgrade speed boost for Pre-G3 Macs in over a year! According to a Sonnet
sales rep yesterday, those upgrades have just now begun to ship and we
expect to see stock sometime next week. As it is, a 450MHz G4 makes a huge
difference for any of legacy Mac models and I expect the 800MHz to take
things to a whole new level. Assuming they have shipped, next week we should
have some good comparative testing to show you. G3 Upgrades start from about
$119, G4/450MHz upgrades from $229, and the Sonnet G4/800MHz is $395."

Personally, I have had pretty good experience buying from OWC, but I also
have good experience purchasing from Buy.com who is selling the same card
for $367.
