They still make a great drive.
However, I believe Barracuda was a very fast drive at the time. Now 
other drives are as fast, so it has lost the edge.
The WD with 8 MB cache is really a very good performer. Most drives 
only have 1 or 2 MB cache. The extra cache speeds it up a bit in tests.
