Hi,

I recently added 256M of 5V, 50ns (I think), FPM ECC memory to my Pulsar
(S900), in 4 64MB DIMMs. I am now seeing a slight issue. If I boot with
all extentions enabled (the default set for 8.6), my machine hangs. If I
disable the 'File Exchange' extension, all is fine (Boots, works, can do
most things, except read PC disks....). Does anyone have any suggestions
as to what might be causing the problem. My machine is spec'ed as follows:

S900 (aka Pulsar in the UK)
200MHz 604e
336M RAM
    Banks A1, A2, B1, B2 - 4 x 64 FPM
    Bank A3 - 1 x 32M EDO
    Banks A4, B4 - 2x16M EDO
6G SCSI II drive & Standard CDROM drive on standard SCSI bus
8139C based 10/100 Ethernet card in slot A1
ATI Xclaim 3D VR in Slot A2
2x4.5G Ultra Wide SCSI drives on Adaptec 3940UW in Slot B2

The problem goes away when I remove the FPM memory, so I guess that is
the problem, but WHY!!!! (and how can I fix it?!?)

I'd appreciate any thoughts anyone has (ideally that involve still using
the FPM RAM).

Alasdair
