On Wednesday, September 11, 2002 4:42 AM, Paul Corsa queried: I've just purchased a Plextor PX40Tsi internal 50 pin SCSI drive for use in my S900. Any idea if it'd run under OS9.1 or later without a hacked CD driver? Or, which version of the hacked driver should I use. Any advice from someone running a Plextor in a S900 would be appreciated. This is not the burner. Paul
-- Paul, I have a Plextor UltraPlex (two of them actually), on my S900s. Right now, since both computers are 'under construction', I just keep a bootable CD in the the drive at boot time. This also works for X aka Jaguar. However, if that is inconvenient, you could try the other suggestions, the driver from 7.6.0, or SpeedTools, FWB, etc. While FWB gets a bad rap on this list, I've used it for years with good results (and only paid for one upgrade, that still works. -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
