Good advice be sure to get the 2.1 or newer if available version of Cache control panel as the 1.2 version will not work with the both the L2 and L3 cache of the Sonnet G4800 new style G4 chip. > As far as your video problem- I have an Ult. Which card do you have Apple or iXmicro? This is news to me with the twin turbo you can only use the one which goes with your type of card though of course it will rin with no drivers but slower. > On Wednesday, September 18, 2002, at 08:52 PM, > <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > In OS 9 your Sonnet upgrade card software will have a setting to > disable the > motherboard cache. > > There is no such software with the installation disk. Sonnet is a great marketing company but a third rate maker of software and hardware IMHO. Sorry but that is how I see it. Please don't bother writing to say how well your Sonnet upgrade works and you love it etc.I do hope the Powerlogix Software Cache control 2.1 will fix the problem. If you look at Sonnets ads you will see they advertise no messy software control panels to make life difficult. Which means they will have problems on none standard machines and you have no options to adjust for differences. This also allows them to use the cheapest chips available and clock the hell out of them if need be to meet specs. Since they know your not going to be able to clock them! I'm hoping Powerlogix will make a faster upgrade that will work in our UMAX machines . later Will S -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
