Well this is a surprise to me and I've no idea of how well they will work in our old machines. It does have the possibility of faster speed for IDE drives and may in some cases make it easier to use cheap ATAPI/IDE CDRW and DVD drives in our machines with possibly less problems.Time will tell if this is a better solution then the ATA PCI cards.
