Hi Bolton,

That extension was designed explicitly for the DVD decoder in the form of a
PCMCIA card that was bundled with the 1998 G3 PowerBooks, also known as Wall
Street. I doubt very much that it will work without thoroughly hacking the
compiled code resource, but it can't hurt to try. Unless, of course, you are
making a non-refundable purchasing decision based on the likelihood of it
working.

It might be easier and cheaper to use an IDE reader, a CPU upgrade, and the
current Apple DVD player, which does the decoding in software. The standard
SCSI bus in these machines will barely cover the throughput required, and
you'll need a minimum G3 at 300 MHz for the decoding to be enjoyable.
