I'm just going to say I agree with Chrisso. The ACard/ATA66 card at
apox $57.50 is perhaps the best deal currently for our machines. The
VST ATA card seems to be sold out. It was selling for $49.00 + $10.00
for the firmware upgrade for OSX.
Both OWC and Acard website say the below about the card which is good
news.

My Sonnet ATA/66 card is made by Acard and uses the same firmware. In
fact the Acard website has newer firmware then the Sonnet site. I 'm
using the latest firmware from Acard and running 3 hard drives and a
cheap PC IDE DVD/CDROM player on my J700. later Will S
PS.It is true the Trio card needs slot 1 or 2 and currently has
firmware problems with OSX 10.2.1. I am sure those will be fixed in
time but the ATA/66 card is happy in any slot.
