Point well taken, Frank.
Sometimes it is easy to get caught up in speed and performance and lose
sight of what is enough to get the job done.
Most of what many of us do day-to-day can be handled with many "older" machines.
Some of us are into Photoshop and video editing, but even these tasks
don't necessarily mean 1-ghz machines are needed.
New and up-to-date is ok, don't get me wrong.
Will I dump my machine because I can get $100 - $150 ?
It would be better to keep it even if I end up buying the latest
whatever it is that's out there.
