XLR8 went out of business a while back and the software quit working in 
newer versions of OSX. Currently the best cache software for Old World 
Machines in general and especially the Umax machines is "Cache Control 
X' from powerlogix.com .
It is a free download but a bit hard to find on the site. Click on 
Support at the top then when the new page opens, click on downloads on 
the left side and you will then find it listed. It is a bit tricky to 
install but comes with good info on how to do it. Which you do need to 
read and follow carefully. It is the only software available that turns 
off the on motherboard L 2 cache which can't easily be turned off 
otherwise.  It took a couple of tries for me to get the software to 
install and work but works with no problems once installed. Will S
