Not always true, my Tempo ATA/66 will randomly give me trouble in slots 
4-6. Three works well though, go figure! It also didn't like my WD 
205BA drive when I was runnig OS9, never had a problem under OSX 
though. Other than that, I have been ecstatic about this card. The 
performance has always been top notch and made my OSX install as easy 
as installing 8.5.
