Thanks for the encouragement, PLM.

I'm like many folks out there who have a very stable running 9.1
with multitude of PCI cards and no need for additional zing.
I'm fearful of opening a can or worms and frankly don't have the mental
capacity these days to deal with the headache.

I may cross that bridge, perhaps directly onto Jaguar, but only if it
doesn't render my
film scanner and several hard drives useless.
With still only a modem connection (but with very good connection speed,
thank goodness),
compatibility with that is also a concern.

After a flurry of storage upgrades and troubleshooting, I'm kindof burned
out for the time being.
Yes, it seems my S900 is becoming an ancient relic in computer years and as
X keeps evolving.
