I can't help with the Firewire problem, but I know that ADS
<www.adstech.com> and IOGear <www.iogear.com> USB cards work
wonderfully in the bottom three slots. I ran my ADS for 2 years before
I upgraded to and IOGear USB 2.0 card 2 months ago. And while I'm not
recommending them over anyone else, check buy.com, they were selling
the IOGear card for $20 w/ free shipping and there was a $10 mail in
rebate. It's been a great card. And you can't knock $10 for a USB 2.0
card.

I've heard that the OrangeMicro cards work fine as long as they aren't
the multifunction, but I'm not experienced.
