I'm reinstalling Jaguar on my S900 Sonnet 450G4. Previous installs although successful had long load times of 4 min total and 2 min. of lines or cross hatching on the first startup screen. I see the normal screen on my other S900 Sonnet 400G4 and that Jaguar loads in 1 min 55 sec. I tried the install 2x today and both started off with a checker board pattern. I had selected to write over to give an unusable previous system option instead of erase. The last attempt stalled at the end of disk 1 with horizontal lines on the grey screen with the Jaguar design. Not a good sign. Talking out loud now and it would seem another install probably wouldn't be any more successful than the other 2 failures. I think I'll wipe the disk clean with the extra initialize option of Drive Set Up. Then I'll prep the HD with 9.1 installs and do a disk analysis of those installs with DiskWarrior, Nortons 6 and TTP if I really want to be obsessive about this. Next the all too familiar XPF and Jaguar should in theory give a working system. If that fails, I'll take the HD and connect it to the good S900 and install Jaguar that way. Then I'll put the HD back in the original S900 and like the song see what happens. Eric
