Daniel. Thank you for the very nice write up on how this works. I read
your post a while back and meant to answer. I was working under
deadline and forgot about it. Glad you figured it out. I'd like to make
just a small correction.
You don't need an ATI RAGE 128 with decoding card. In fact i don't
think the decoding card works in OSX. Any ATI RAGE 128 or newer ATI
Video card will do the trick. Also there are hacked versions of DVD
player that work in OS 9 without Intech's CD/DVD Speedtools 6.0. I have
Intech's version 5.7 on my machine not sure if it's needed or not. I
could help people find the hacked DVD player for 9.x if anyone needs
it. Will S
PS.Howie on my J700 VideoLan player works with some disks and not
others the same with DVD player 3.2 but sofar one or the other usually
works with a disk/file
