When installing OS XSS
by [EMAIL PROTECTED]

A handy piece of advice if you plan on using OS X as your primary OS and
still have a lot of OS 9 applications would be to make sure your hard
drive
has the OS 9 drivers installed on it. If you are just upgrading from OS 9
you do not have to worry about it, but if you just bought a new computer,
or
plan on just having OS X install on an older computer and using the OS
emulator to use 9 you will want to make sure the drive is installed. What
happens is that , if you ever need to boot up from an OS 9 disk, the hard
drive will not bee seen as a mounted drive. Thus you will not be able to
access any of your data on the hard drive from a classic environment.
Another reason for installing the OS 9 Drivers would be that down the
road
you might want to for some reason install OS 9 and you won1t be able to.
It
never hurts to keep your options open.
