I just got an 80 Gig HD and I'd like to ask you all how you'd partition it. Just out of curiosity. If nothing else it may make for an interesting discussion.
I opted for a Western Digital, despite reservations about their quality, to get the 8 MB cache. I'm hoping their Caviar days are behind them- I had one of those fail after 2 years...They are the only company that makes an 80 G drive with a large cache that I have found in my limited forays. It was on sale too- Fry's/outpost.com for $89. I have a Vst/Ultratek 66, so I'll need to use the first 8 Gs for Jaguar, I'll need a small Classic partition, a slightly larger 9.1 partition and the jury seems to still be out regarding the use of a partition for VM instead of a separate volume. -Ford -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
