I can read text files off of PC disks but how do I import these and any
other files ONTO the Supermac hard drive? For example there are some jpg
files on the desktop that were there when I got the machine but when I try
to read that sorta file from a PC disk Netscape comes up and says that A:
does not exist... weird since it reads txt files just fine. Also how do I
convince the machine that something for Mac is on a PC formatted disk. I
have no modem for this machine nor do I have a network card so until I get a
working CD drive in it I am stuck putting stuff in via the disk drive. Also
it seems to detect the current cd drive but unless connections are not
secure I think the cd drive is bad. So hopefully some spare drives I have at
home will work. would you folks suggest I use SCSI or IDE cd drives? also
what are some of your favorite programs for these systems. Since I am new to
the Mac world my knowledge of software is limited.
