The problem with the side panel on the s900 case is that there are no "grips" which can be used to pull the case back as you depress the corner latches - no place to get a "fingerhold". >From back in the old days, I still have a "case cracking tool" that was designed to get Macintosh Plus'es, SE's, etc. apart. With it, you can "spread" the tightly-closed seam of the case enough to "free it" so that it can be then easily removed "by hand". Not sure if there's anywhere that still sells these as a new item. Perhaps "MacResQ"? Or, Ebay.
