For the SCSI drive try this link and select the ExpressPro-Tools: http://www.attotech.com/software/app1.php3?Name=+&EMail=+@+&Subscribe= Atto's pro tools will allow you to initialize your drive as well as providing a good SCSI benchmark with and without the MacOS ram cache. I don't know if it will benchmark an IDE drive as I don't do IDE.
