A newcomer to the list...just came across it three weeks ago. An S900
604e/200 user since 98, I needed a bit more hutzpah. This has been a
tremendous resource...thanks to all the posters. In three weeks, I've
added a few minor upgrades. It feels like I got a whole new machine for
not much over 150 bucks!

Back off the list topic, you piqued some interest with talk of the
IIci. I've still got an old one (fitted to my old IIcx case when the orig
MB went south). The IIci developed power up problem you describe about a
year ago. Didn't have a need for it, and figured it was probably a bad
supply, (a fairly expensive fix for such an antique) so it's been
collecting dust since then.

Do you have any pointers on how to confirm that's the problem, or how to go
about fixing the capacitors or board leads? I might attempt a resurrection
for yuks. Maybe one of my kids could use it.

Many thanks, in advance.
