I believe that to be correct but only Kennedy would know for sure. I 
looked at my extra machine and it says revision A next to the serial 
number and has no jumper pins. Doesn't really have a date other then 
UMAX Stormsurge 1996 stamped on board.
Jeff W checked motherboards out pretty closely including chips on the 
boards a while back and found no differences at all except for a few 
people having the J38 jumper pins to disable L 2 cache. I'm sure he 
will correct me if I'm wrong ;-)
Differences in the way different machines act has been traced to cards 
,cpu ,ram chips and software added. later Will S
