------- Dave - Thank-you for sharing your info, especially the Radeon 7000 in slot 2. It's also good to see a SCSI controller in one of the lower slots. As for the firewire card, I'm using Hard Disk Speed Tools that came bundled with the EZQuest 60-gb external drive hooked up to a MachFire card in slot 3. At first I thought it was a PCI slot issue when large transfers started freezing up. In HDST there is a control for two different types throughput speeds. Both I notched down one level from optimal speed and the freezups disappeared with no objectionable penalty in speed. I use the drive mainy for backup, so this is not an a major issue. Anyway, just wanted to mention that in case you run into a bottleneck and suspect it's the PCI slot problem.
