New to board, 5 year UMAX owner, 10 years on Mac.
Stock J700/233/278mb/8.1w/spare HD on E100, original FWB drivers
(v.2.06HD, 2.32liteCD), . Won't boot from CD for anything. Copied OS 9.1
disk to spare HD, opened sys file, designated as startup and restarted.
Got dialog box over the 9.1 logo that says "Program must be loaded from
original disks, do you want to restart" (only option), had to disconnect
the cable from the drive to boot from the stock drive.

1)How can I load 9.1?
2)What impact will it have on FWB, 2 Western Dig.HDs(WDE9150U2 &
Enterprise) and CD(Matshita CR-508), E100 etc?
3)any good stuff I haven't thought of.

This is our only home computer, can't really afford a new Mac and don't
want a PC, so I can't hose the install without risking w&ks tearing me a
new one.
Thanks for all advice, and to help on dealmac forum as well.

Joe
