By e card do you mean E100 card? That problem has happened to a couple of other folks. There are two solutions depending on how hosed the card is. The first is to install a different version of the E100 SCSI Control Panel (on a disk not connected to the E100, boot up and open the CP, which will automatically offer to reflash the card. If you can't boot with the E100 card installed, try hitting CMD-OPT-P-R before the start-up chime finishes chiming. This is slightly different than a PRAM zap when you do it that early and seems to get the computer past a fair number of start up obstacles. If there's no joy with any of that, the Flash Memory chip on the card can be removed and erased and reinstalled. After that the card won't interfere with booting (most likely) and when you open the E100 SCSI CP it will write new clean firmware onto the flash memory chip.
