You have to wonder-eventually if the s900 is worth that upgrade cost or not. I have nearly a complete s900 in parts here and continue to collect the bits to make it whole again but with the earlier G4 400 AGP and 450 s and dual 500 s on the market for $600-$1000 it is getting harder to justify spending any money on my s900 whatsoever.
Put a G3 800 in or spend twice the money for a G4 450 or 2.5 X the money for a dual 500. With a 100 bus speed and ability to upgrade out of the box to dual 1Ghz. And it's OSX compatable-100%. I loved my s900 to death-literally.
